AWOS (an acronym for Advanced Workstation Operating System) is a fast, optimized operating environment that aims to be fully POSIX-compliant.

It does not use any code from Linux or any other projects; however, there is a small portion of the standard C library that was taken from OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD.
